Hey everyone! I know there's an introduction section, but I decided to give a quick intro here as I'll only be posting in this section of the forums. I'm an old member that got an itch to discuss Raptors basketball once again. Ive been a forum go'er for atleast 15 years but lost the passion for it for a year and half and for some reason got it back. I might not post a whole lot before the season starts but i'll be fairly active when things start rolling during the Raptors 2012-2013 season. Looking forward talking to all of you.

Any questions? Ask away

Cheers

I haven't posted here in like 5 years I don't even remember my old username that I used to go by. But I was pretty tight with Southeasy and Porn Player and I used to chit chat from time to time.

Good to see you back (whoever you may be! :) ) ... I'm not surprised you've got the itch back, this season finally feels like we have a fresh team and a worthwhile outlook, I can't wait.

Glad to be back! The season should be an exciting one, and you're right part of that itch is to discuss about the development of our young talent. One thing I did notice though, is that the section is a lot less active since my last go-around...I'm going to try my best to change that.

Cheers

I will also be active on here once the games start. I try to pick 5 to 8 league pass teams per season to pay close attention to, and the Raps are competing for one of those spots right now.

May I ask why? Don't know much about you so I don't know if you're a Raptors fan or not. If not, than I'm even more confused as the Raptors weren't that exciting to watch last year.

I was a big Isaiah Thomas fan while he was in the league. That's what caused me to really embrace the Raptors while he was running them in the early days. After he left and his career went down the tubes in New York (after a relatively successful stint in Indy), I no longer have a favorite team. I always try to pick league pass teams that have very different styles of play so it doesn't get boring. Last season I watched a ton of Sacramento games even though they weren't the most exciting team. I already know I will be watching the vast majority of the Pistons' games this year. I was thinking of adding a second up-and-coming team as well. I'm thinking it's going to be either Toronto or Golden State.

Gotcha! The Raptors do have young "up and coming" talent but not sure if it's going to pan out..I sure hope it does. Anywho, looking forward discussing Raptors ball with you :).

Not that it really bothers me but will more active members come back at the beginning of the season?
Definitely. It's always slow between the free agency and the start of the regular season. Some years it's slower than others.

I think so ... I'm another poster from way-way-back .. I lost the itch before VC left and since then pretty much only come back to read up. I think our team will do reasonably well but I'm not expecting too much this season. Maybe end up in 9th or 10th spot and miss the playoffs because of a slow start....

No news on what's going to happen with Calderon, but I've always thought he was underated and unappreciated here. I know about his weakness on defence ... but he was still great on point when he had peeps to work with.

Hopefully I started a trend here, and many old members will be making a comeback :D. Welcome back! Hopefully you keep posting this time around.

I won't go much off-topic, but finishing 9-10th place will be heartbreaking for this team...even though capspace will be-a-plenty next summer.
