well, if you're gonna get passed up, gene picked the right year. that's an excellent class.

but it makes you realize how quickly joe d has emerged as an executive. i mean, he's just now being inducted into the hall as a player. oh... and he's managing arguably the 'best' team in the league, two-time finalists, ex-champions.

guess he made a pretty smooth transition, didn't he...
