If this type of thing will work, it will work in Philadelphia. College basketball is huge in Philly and being able to keep local college stars that would otherwise be in Europe or other pro leagues in Philly would generate a lot of interest IMO. The money will need to be there to make it work though, should be interesting.

It would never work in Boston.

You're right. Would not work in Boston. And on second look, Hartford is a proposed team when this starts up. Makes sense with UCONN, but could draw from BC, PC, URI, and the other New England schools. Next best location after Hartford would probably be Providence.
