Next Season

Does anyone else get the feeling that next season is going to be a little dull compared to this one.

Its just a feeling I have because there have been so many remarkable performances this year by individuals and teams that it seems inevitable that it's going to drop off a bit.

I bet next season is going to be more like the 03-04 season.

I think Melo, Bosh, Wade and Lebron will be even more spectacular.

especially Bosh and Melo.

I'm looking forward to Paul and Eva playing with a year under their notch

I don't expect Kobe to be falling one bit

and heat will be better!!! Better team chem!!!

Next season will be better, Stoudemire returning, KG on a new team the young stars will be a year older, the Kwame and Darko project, Yao and McGrady will try it again, etc..From this point on until LeBron retires the NBA will only get better, this season was only the beginning of this "new era" of basketball.

The worst part of next season will be the further decline of Shaq and the Miami Heat (minus D. Wade).
Let's not forget the mad capers and shenanigans of Isiah Thomas and the Knicks- though we'll see some of that in the summer.

Don't forget Tmac! He's only played half this season, back permitting he'll be back for a full season next year. Possibley making a run at MVP. We'll get to see the real Rockets.

New York might gel more...

Toronto will continue it's development.

The Nets will probably be a finished product.

San Antonio and Detroit will be older (ie not as good hopefully).

Antoine Wright might actually get PT.

Bron, Melo, Wade, and Bosh will have all the more history behind them thus more hype.

Shaq will officially be "old."

Cliffy will move up more in the all-time records.

There will be surprise playoff/non-playoff teams. Surprise moves. Surprise injuries. Buzzer beaters. Impossible shots. Upsets. Records broken.

It'll be another NBA season...

I can't believe I forgot about T-Mac/Yao and STAT. I can't wait for next season to start already

*waits for it*
I think it will be the best season since 1992-93. I wrote a blog about it, but I will write a new article, once the FA movement has come and gone.

Big changes are coming in the league.

The main problem with the NBA is that the East sucks so bad. However, if you're a fan of the West, this is my preseason list, even before I see everything: I think the NBA changes the playoff structure as well.

1. Phoenix (Pacific Champ) 59-23
2. Dallas (Southwest Champ) 58-24
3. Sacramento *Wildcard* 56-26
4. Denver (Northwest Champ) 55-27
5. San Antonio 54-28
6. LA Lakers 51-31
7. Seattle 45-37
8. LA Clippers 43-39
---------------------
9. Memphis
10. Utah
11. New Orleans
12. Houston
13. Golden State
14. Portland
15. Minnesota

East:

1. Detroit: Should bring back all pieces, idiots if they don't bring back Ben Wallace, barring a major injury, this is where they should be. (Around 58 wins)

2. Miami: Should work out the kinks from this year, D-Wade will improve. (around 56)

3. Chicago: A top 3 pick, another first rounder, and tons of capspace to potentially lure Ben Wallace away from Detroit, or at the very least get Joel Pryzbilla/Bonzi Wells/Al Harrington, the latter of which seems to be a lock to become a Bull, did I mention the team already is pretty good? Imagine one of the best 1-3 combos, that defensive beast in Chandler, with a more competent low post scorer than Michael Sweetney, hot damn. (around 50)

4. Cleveland- A little bit of improvement based on the internal improvement of Lebron, and Larry Hughes being there for an entire season. (around 50)

5. New Jersey- about the same as this years team (about 47)

6. Orlando Magic- watch this freaking team, they are pretty darn good, and they'll get better next year through freeagency/draft, as well as internal improvement, just caught on to late to make the playoffs this year. (around 45)

7. Philly- A decent team, can get on at times, just need to play EVERY NIGHT. Have good role players, as well as some good stars, but if they trade Iverson, they aren't going anywhere. (around 42)

8. Atlanta- Not sure if they will mature enough, but the team has a hell of a lot of talent that does good things, they have good shotblockers/shooters, just need to start playing more like a veteran team, they'll have another good pick, and its just a matter of when they snap out of it, the talent is there. (around 38)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
9. Washington
10. Indiana
11. Milwaukee
12. Boston
13. New York
14. Toronto
15. Charlotte

Pardon? Is KG going to be murdered?

Well he was there this year and they sucked, why should next year be any different?

I hope it isn't like 03-04, because that season was one of the most boring in a long while. Imagine this year, plus a healthy T-Mac/Yao combo, Stat, healthy Duncan etc. Could be even more exciting. Maybe KG will become a winner when he gets sent to another team? Who knows...
