Portland stops losing, Hornets keep losing
The Hornets (18-58) now begin a four-game West-Coast road trip, returning to New Orleans for the final two games of the regular season on April 18 and 20.
"I'm going to keep evaluating," Hornets coach Byron Scott said. "I want guys that play this game with a purpose. I don't care if the season is basically over as far as playoff implications and things like that. I just truly feel that when you put that uniform on you have to be ready to compete. You're a professional. You have to go out there and play as hard as you can."
The Trail Blazers were remarkably consistent through the first two quarters: 25 points each period, 11 of 23 shooting from the field in the first quarter, 12 of 24 shooting in the second.
