Denver stays hot while Hornets drop their sixth straight at home
Denver won the battle inside through three quarters, outscoring New Orleans 36-16 in the lane. The Hornets had the upper hand in the fourth quarter 18-4.
"They did a good job of getting the ball inside and breaking down our defense," Hornets forward P.J. Brown said. "We didn't move very well on defense. When the defense breaks down, the lane opens up and you give up easy putbacks. That's been one of our many problems this year."
Karl, whose team took a difficult 94-91 win at Memphis on Tuesday night, entered Wednesday's game somewhat concerned. Tuesday's draining victory moved the Nuggets into the seventh playoff spot in the Western Conference.
