Lakers won, but they were tested. I think that this could possibly one of the bigger drafts they've had in a while. As much as I like Devean George, I know he's gone. Money talks just like Tyronn Lue before him. Jerry West has been hot on his trail. Lindsey Hunter has stated that he would most likely opt out to go to a team that could offer him a bigger role. Samaki Walker has no hands what so ever. He's got a year left on his deal, whether he'll be re-signed is yet to be seen. Slava Medvedenko won't get big bucks and when he's on the court, he is pretty active and does some good things. Look for him to be re-signed by the Lakeshow. Now that leaves holes at 6th man, point guard, and a big guy to help out the diesel. Here are some possibilities to look for. The Lakers want to trade up to get Qynetl Woods, lets say that doesn't happen. They have the 27th pick. There is gonna be some pretty good players there. They have no second round pick. Some guys to take into consideration: Smush Parker, Carlos Boozer, and Ryan Humphrey...maybe Lenny Cooke, but that's a bit high considering all of his problems that he's had. Now Humphrey brings athleticism and is an all around good ball player. Boozer could help out alot with the boards, but won't shoot like Horry. The guy i'm most intrigued with is Smush Parker. He's a big guard who can run the team. I'd gladly take Frank Williams ahead of him, he'd be a perfect fit, but he won't fall that far. Of these 3 guys Humphrey, Boozer, Parker who do u think would fit in best??? Do you think the Lakers will go in a different direction altogether, if so who???

I will reply anyway. The lakers could use a good young prospect going into next year. The team needs changes if they want to go for 4 believe it or not.
The Lakers are not as intimadating as they used to be IMO and there not the team they were the previous 2 years (I know they just won a championship). The Kings know they can beat them and without making 1 quality addition they wont be going for 4.
(Those are my opinions, I dont wanna hear from all the Laker fans how good they really are and that im dis-respecting them, thats how I feel)
With that said there are plenty of good prospects at the spot their drafting. I would really like to see Smush Parker go to LA
I love his game. Smush is aggresive, he gives 100% on the floor, he goes after loose balls by putting his body on the line, he is just a meat and potato type a player (what you see is what you get).
Will he be a player who his gonna be rookie of the year (NO)
Will he score 15 points a game (NO)
Will he wear his hart in his sleeve and play with determination and grit night in and night out (ABSOLUTELY)
He wont make a differnce to the overall wins after a season but he is a guy who they can use and who you fans can learn to appreciate.

We'll definitely get Qyntel Woods, HEATLUNATIC just wants to keep telling himself that we won't because it makes him feel good. If we don't get Woods(which we will), we'll take Tayshaun Prince, no doubt. Humphrey is a late 2nd round pick, and Boozer will be either mid 1st round or mid 2nd round, as for Smush, he'll be early 2nd round. We're gonna get Qyntel Woods. The Lakers are NOT getting Woods. Unless they pull another Kobe, they have NOBODY, and I repeat NOBODY to offer who is worth a top 10 pick. NOBODY. Get it through your heads, and take off those purple and gold glasses. NOBODY other than Shaq or Kobe will get you a top-10 pick.

who the hell is Qyntell !!! lol for every Kobe or Garnett there was 20-30 high schoolers who amounted to nothing...wow they passed on Boozer AND Tayshaun.....damn....i realised today, the Lakers dont have SQUAT!!! they couldnt trade up (as they have no trade pieces), not many ppl wanna play with kobe...they are in a hole my friend, and with franchise players being locked up by their teams these days....Lakers need to get lucky through free agency next season or draft...
