Good trade for NY because they are able to get rid of players they try to dump a.k.a Sprewell and add a big body(Collins), a solid PG(Childs), and a sweeter-shooter(Kittles). But it might cause a logjam at SG as now NY has Houston and Kittles who both get a lot of money but neither of them can play SF.

Bad trade for NJ and they won't do this. First Childs is veteran backup PG who should provide solid numbers during limited time. Williams is unproven, Nets won't take the risk. Second they give up Collins, who could be a useful body(and 6 fouls) if they got a chance to play Lakers again. Third they give up a relatively pure shooter(Kittles) for a scorer who is streak shooting and is declining(Sprewell).
