As I believe was said yesterday....Telfair still ended up playin some 41 minutes. You have to rest him some during the course of hte game. Maybe Nate shouldn't have rested him, Zach, and Darius at the same time....but you have to have enough faith in your 2nd unit that it won't give up a 9-0 run in two minutes.

As I recall, the second unit did very well against the Knicks in the game at the Rose Garden. But, as one commentator used to say (I think it was Doug Collins, but I'm not sure), young players tend to do better at home. Hence, the Knicks' young second unit did better at Madison Square Garden.

Chuck Daley had some very veteran teams, yet he still said it was a mistake to make platoon substitutions. I doubt there was ever a bigger believer in the 7 or 8 man rotation.

I actually completely agree that the timing of taking Telfair out was poor. Portlands momentume really takes a hard swing when Telfair comes out and Jack comes in.
