Latrell Sprewell's agent put the pressure on the Knicks yesterday to either allow Sprewell to join the team or consider trading him.

"The wounds are getting larger and the prospect of reconciliation seems to be dying," Bob Gist said. "If there's no prospect of reconciliation, we should talk about the next step." If there is a potential trading partner not completely turned off by Sprewell, it would have to be Mavericks owner Mark Cuban - a rebel in his own right, although he claims to want to keep point guard Nick Van Exel.
Would it be possible for the Mavs to rip off the Knicks as the Knicks ripped the Warriors just a few years ago for the same player?

Think the Knicks would trade Sprewell for Tariq Abdul-Wahad, Avery Johnson & Adrian Griffin (if they play hardball w/ the Knicks and won't part with Van Exel) ? That would work under the cap rules...
