Article about the Nets bench and some other notes...

which include...

Jason Kidd was excused from practice yesterday for personal reasons and is expected back today. In Peoria, Ariz., a memorial service was held for Gary Mack, the Suns' team counselor who died earlier this month. Mack helped Kidd through his marital problems in Phoenix . . . Nets (5-0) never have won six games in preseason. They have two more shots at No. 6: against 76ers and Knicks . . . Byron Scott said he'd like to keep 14 players, including injury-listed Jamie Feick, who soon will be taken off the salary cap after Nets appeal to league. "I'm a little superstitious, so 14 is something I kind of want to keep," Scott said, noting 14 was last season's count.
After Jamie Feick is gone, who will be the 14th?

Jason Kidd, Kerry Kittles, Richard Jefferson, Kenyon Martin, Dikembe Mutombo, Rodney Rogers, Lucious Harris, Chris Childs, Aaron Williams, Jason Collins, Tamar Slay, Brandon Armstrong, Brian Scalabrine, Donny Marshall.

There's 14 players. That would be my best bet.

I never thought Donny Marshall would make it, but if there is a 14th man, he would make sense for that spot.

He has been with the team, and knows alot about the other guys.
