Curry's performance even had former Bull Charles Oakley wondering—like so many Chicago fans—how long the Bulls can continue to center their rebuilding effort around him. General manager John Paxson said on Tuesday that he wouldn't panic with Curry, but management's patience also is less bountiful than it once was.

"Eddy has to get tougher," said Oakley, who sat next to the Bulls' bench with tickets from Tyson Chandler. "But you bought the car, so you have to ride the car."

Curry said he is battling a sore back and spent time before the game getting treatment.
