Matchups to Watch
Pau Gasol and the Grizz frontline will have to contend with Elton Brand, the reigning Western Conference Player of the Week.

Head Coach: Hubie Brown
<a class="sag" href="#top">Back to Top</a>
Notes
Memphis faces the small, but physical, Clippers for the first time this year, trying to snap an eight-game road slide. The Grizzlies were halted on Friday by Seattle in a 122-116 loss. James Posey and Pau Gasol scored 25 and 19 points respectively, while Mike Miller added 20, all of which coming in the first half. The defense was a major problem, as Seattle shot an eye-popping 57% from the field. The Grizzlies are now just a paltry 6-13 on the road.
Injury Report
- Troy Bell (sore left knee), Theron Smith (back spasms), and Ryan Humphrey (concussion) are on the injured list.
Clubhouse
Box Score (1/9) - Memphis (116) Seattle (122)
Head Coach: Mike Dunleavy
<a class="sag" href="#top">Back to Top</a>
Notes
The Clippers are coming off a 78-68 win at Toronto over the anemic Raptors. Corey Maggette is coming back from his two-game suspension, stemming from a fight with Kenyon Martin last week. Elton Brand averaged 23.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game last week, which was enough to earn him the Western Conference Player of the Week.
Injury Report
- Quentin Richardson (sprained right hand) and Bobby Simmons (sprained right wrist) are questionable.
- Melvin Ely (flu), Josh Moore (back spasms) and Olden Polynice (neck strain) are on the injured list.
