Matchups to Watch

James Posey kept Carmelo Anthony in check during the only other meeting between the teams this year.

Head Coach: Hubie Brown

Notes
Memphis takes their franchise-record seven game winning streak to the Pyramid once again against the dangerous Denver Nuggets. The Grizzlies are coming off a revenge win on Friday over the Sacramento Kings. Mike Miller, Jason Williams, and Pau Gasol all had huge games, while James Posey shut down Peja Stojakovic. Rookie Dahntay Jones saw a good amount of playing time when Shane Battier came out of the game with a bruised rib cage and Bonzi Wells sat out all but eight minutes with the flu. The key to the game will be to take care of the ball; 20 Memphis turnovers in the December loss to the Nuggets led to 32 Denver points.

Injury Report
- Shane Battier (flu and bruised ribs) and Bonzi Wells (flu) are questionable.
- Troy Bell (sore left knee), Theron Smith (back spasms), and Ryan Humphrey (concussion) are on the injured list.

Notes
Denver had their three-game winning streak snapped by the backcourt-depleted New Orleans Hornets on Friday. Marcus Camby's health has been a major reason for the Nuggets' success this season, playing an unheard of (for Camby) 41 out of 45 Nugget games this year. ROY candidate Carmelo Anthony had 24 points against the Hornets, and Andre Miller chipped in with 17.

Injury Report
- Jeff Trepagnier (sprained left ankle) and Jon Barry (right shoulder surgery) are on the injured list.

This game isn't being televised on any of the local channels. NBA League Pass is having a free-preview, and none of the Memphis games have been subjected to blackouts for me, so perhaps everyone else in the area can see it there as well.

I'll be "watching" on my computer. Just following the play-by-play and hoping for the best.

Shane and Bonzi won't be playing at all tonight? :(

I did read that Shane had the flu as well as the bruised rib. So, I'm sure Dahntay will be getting some time tonight.

Last I heard, they were "questionable." I'm assuming that Shane won't play at all, and Bonzi will play sparingly.

I hope Shane's able to go. Last game against the Nugz, he put up a huge game with 15 rebounds.

He has yet to show what he can do with extended minutes on the court, so if he gets some pt tonight, then I hope he does well.

Is Bonzi out for tonight??

if he does, it'll be because of foul trouble.

we need to bench Earl for the rest of the game. ride Miller the rest of the game at the point and at the 2. Earl's play has steadily gotten worse over the course of the season, imo.

Yeah, you can see that now after the game has already started. I assumed he was still sick. Shane is definitely out for the game. He isn't dressed out.

Earl Watson has been an absolute dud lately. A layup might be out of his range.

Looking to the scoreboard seems that denver is trying to stop Pau with fouls.
But what the hell is happening with the rebounds. We need the rebounds and Jwill giving asists to the rest of the team.

Perhaps with camby and andersen with 4 fouls the team will began to rebound and win the game.

Pau and Nene just got in a little skirmish. Double-technical was called.

I wouldn't like seeing that from many players, but its nice to see that from Pau.:D
