Matchups to Watch

Former Blazer Bonzi Wells and brand new Portland acquisition Darius Miles will meet in the third matchup between the two teams this year.

Head Coach: Hubie Brown

Notes
Memphis attempts to stretch their franchise-record win streak to nine games tonight at home against the limping Portland Trailblazers. Memphis has won ten of their past eleven games and the past seven at The Pyramid. Memphis' latest win came against the Denver Nuggets, 106-88, in a game where Memphis missed only 9 of 37 shots in the second half. Seven Grizzlies reached double figures in scoring.

Injury Report
- Shane Battier (ribs) is questionable.
- Troy Bell (sore left knee), Theron Smith (back spasms), and Ryan Humphrey (concussion) are on the injured list.

Notes
Portland travels to Memphis for the second and last time this year, now with newly-acquired swingman Darius Miles. Winning over Washington on Monday marked the first time Portland has won back-to-back road games this season; the Blazers are just 4-16 away from home. Rasheed Wallace scored 16 in the win against the Wizards. Zach Randolph, not quite the unstoppable force he was earlier in the season, is still averaging 21.3 ppg and 11.0 rpg. Darius Miles is averaging 11.0 ppg in his two game beginning with the team.

Injury Report
No injuries.

With a win tonight and a Houston loss (against the Kings), the Grizz pull up to 6th place in the Western playoff standings. :headbang:

Its amazing the the Grizz are shooting so bad and are still down just three.
Luckily, Portland is only shooting 32% from the field. If they were playing well, we would be in trouble.

Pau just got another technical! I love it. Granted, it looked like it was more Rasheed's fault than his, but who cares?

I know the shots aren't always going to fall, but this was pathetic.

The streak was nice while it lasted.

I hope Miller's back spasms won't cause him to miss a number of games. :(

Losing is a part of the NBA. Even with the loss though, the Grizzlies should keep there heads up. They just went through a franchise record 8 game winning streak. They should be proud of that, for about a minute or so. They should focus for there next game, and keep there eye on the playoffs. Don't let losing be a part of there mentality. They know how to win now, and everyone should expect nothing less. We are a playoff team.

The Grizzlies should strive for a new goal. A new winning streak. Keep your heads up players, because there is always tomorrow.

Good Call C-MO....

It was one bad game, and everyone has a bad game now and then. When was the last time JWill and Pau had horrible games in the same game? They will bounce back strong b/c Hubie wont let them get down on themselves. Hubie will remind them that they are a playoff team and they have won 8 of their last 9 and should start a new streak. This next half a season is gonna be a fun one to watch!
