You will be quoted in the project so no slang or profanity please. please include your location and first name (make it up if you want)

2) Do you have a favorite player on the team or on another team? Who? Why are they your favorite?

3) If your favorite player is on the team, and gets traded, would you stick with the player or the team. Explain.

4) If you relocate, or your team relocated, how would that affect you?

5) How does your teams record affect your interest in them that season. Do you find yourself more loyal when they are in championship contention?

6) Do you find yourself rooting for your teams rivals to fail?

7) Have you ever switched teams? Explain why.

1) North Carolina Tar Heels (Family tradition/location), PHX Suns (Former Location), Charlotte Bobcats (Location), Carolina Panthers (Location), Jacksonville Jaguars (Family/Former Location).

2) Shawn Marion. Does everything you could possibly want. Scores, rebounds, defends and does it better than 99% of the NBA and still hardly ever gets love.

3) Team. I'd still like the player(see Joe Johnson), but the team comes first.

4) Obviously I still like the teams of my past locations. If a current team moved though, I still like them, but not as much. Like the Hornets.

5) Win, lose, or draw I'm there for my teams.

6) Always.

7) Nope. I might add more teams that I like. But the favorites don't change.

8) Bobcats, Panthers, and Tar Heels pretty often at home. I also go to a couple home Jags games while visiting family in Florida.

9) All the time.

10) Still have hope!

11) Plenty of times.

12) Yeah.

13) Always!

14) Jerseys, hats, shirts.

15) Yea, I splurge alot of money on that stuff.

16) 9

great, keep them coming. thanks for your time
1) Why do you support the team you do (family tradition? Locatoin? Favorite Player plays there?). Name the team or teams.

Sonics is the only team on which I consider myself a true fan- I lack the knowledge of traditions for other teams. I support my home team.

2) Do you have a favorite player on the team or on another team? Who? Why are they your favorite?

My favorite player is Ron Artest, because unlike most fans, I prefer defense over offense. My all time favorite player is Gary Payton, because he combines defense and attitude.

3) If your favorite player is on the team, and gets traded, would you stick with the player or the team. Explain.
I stick to my team. When Gary Payton got traded, I thought I would become a Bucks fan. That never happened- it's just too difficult to keep up with another team when you don't have NBA league pass. The Cassell-Payton Bucks weren't very good, so I don't regret it.
4) If you relocate, or your team relocated, how would that affect you?

5) How does your teams record affect your interest in them that season. Do you find yourself more loyal when they are in championship contention?

Not with the Sonics. I am constantly hoping they get better, by wins, trades, or draft picks. But I do jump on the bandwagon with the Seahawks and Mariners. I just don't care about football and baseball as much.

6) Do you find yourself rooting for your teams rivals to fail?

I hope the other player misses free throws, and only when they play against the Sonics. I never root for the rivals to lose games to other teams.

7) Have you ever switched teams? Explain why.

Never.

8) Do you travel to follow your team? Go to home games? How often?
My family usually buys 10-game pacakages, and sometimes I get to go with other people. I don't travel to away games because I have school.

9) If not, do you regularly watch their broadcasts. How often?

I watch broadcasts most nights. I'd say about 60 games. I tend to lose interest after the trading deadline.

10) When its looking to be a blowout, do you turn the game off if your teams losing, or still have hope?

When it's a blowout, I look forward to the bench players, especially the developing players to get some minutes (i.e. Darko with Detroit). I've never left KeyArena willingly when the Sonics were down big.

11) Have you ever skipped, lied, or sacrificed something for a sporting event?

Yes. I hurried to KeyArena after my part in the concert was done. I caught the last 20 minutes. It was worth it.

12) Do you go on message boards to talk about your team?

Of course. I woudn't be posting this if I didn't.

13) Do you find yourself connecting with people you don't know if you support the same team? (For example, high fiving someone when your team scores a touchdown at the home stadium).

Not really.

14) Do you own a lot of team souvenirs? Jerseys, posters, etc? Talk about what it is.

I have a Sonics basketball.

15) Do you find yourself "letting yourself go" when you purchase team stuff, such as tickets or jerseys? Explain.

No.

16) Rate yourself 1-10. 1 being a casual fan, 10 being a fanatic.

8. If you walked into my room, you would have no idea I'm a Sonic fan. I've never had season tickets, and I'm not a fanboy. But I'll never leave the Sonics, unless they move away. Then it's them leaving me.

1) The Wolves. Started watching them because I live in Minnesota.
2) Trenton Hassell because I love the way he plays.
3) Both. I'll probably always be a Wolves fan, but I would still follow Hassell's career if he got traded.
4) If I relocate I'd still follow the team, and if possible I'd probably get NBA League Pass to watch them. If the team relocates then I'd have alot more time on my hands, because I wouldn't follow them any more.
5) I guess it doesn't affect it, as they've been garbage the past two years and I still follow them as closely as ever.
6) Of course.
7) No, but my 2nd, 3rd, etc favorite teams have switched over the years.
8) I go to a few home games every year, they are 5-0 in games I've been to this season.
9) I watch every game that is on TV.
10) I watch every minute of every game that is on TV.
11) I've put off homework to watch a game, if that counts.
12) Obviously.
13) Nope.
14) No, but only because I'm cheap.
15) Again no, but if I were the type of person that spends money I certainly would.
16) 9.

1) Why do you support the team you do (family tradition? Locatoin? Favorite Player plays there?). Name the team or teams. I support the Nets because of location.

2) Do you have a favorite player on the team or on another team? Who? Why are they your favorite? My favorite player currently is not on the Nets. My favorite player is Kenyon Martin because of his passion for the game.

3) If your favorite player is on the team, and gets traded, would you stick with the player or the team. Explain. I would stick with the team because I became a fan of the team, not the player.

4) If you relocate, or your team relocated, how would that affect you? Relocating would not affect me. I will always remain a Nets fan.

5) How does your teams record affect your interest in them that season. Do you find yourself more loyal when they are in championship contention? Record does not matter because I watch every game, no matter who they play, or what time the game is on.

6) Do you find yourself rooting for your teams rivals to fail? Only if it involves a playoff chase.

7) Have you ever switched teams? Explain why. Never because I became a Nets fan and will remain loyal though I still like other teams, the Nets are always numero uno.

8) Do you travel to follow your team? Go to home games? How often? I go to about 2 or 3 games a year on average though I haven't been to any this year.

9) If not, do you regularly watch their broadcasts. How often? I watch every game on TV.

10) When its looking to be a blowout, do you turn the game off if your teams losing, or still have hope? Hope may be gone but I still watch the game to see if there is a fight.

11) Have you ever skipped, lied, or sacrificed something for a sporting event? No

12) Do you go on message boards to talk about your team? I am now, aren't I?

13) Do you find yourself connecting with people you don't know if you support the same team? (For example, high fiving someone when your team scores a touchdown at the home stadium). Absolutely, especially if it is a playoff game.

14) Do you own a lot of team souvenirs? Jerseys, posters, etc? Talk about what it is. I own one jersey and one picture.

15) Do you find yourself "letting yourself go" when you purchase team stuff, such as tickets or jerseys? Explain. Not necessarily. I spend money but not carelessly.

16) Rate yourself 1-10. 1 being a casual fan, 10 being a fanatic. 7.
