There is a reason Bill Walker and OJ Mayo ended up playing HS Basketball in the Cincinnati area and I will be extremely surprised if the two of them don't sign with Huggins.

KSU is going to have some big time recruits soon. I expect 7 foot center Jason Bennett to committ to KSU very soon as he wants to play for Huggins.

I know you are a Hugs fan cpaw, but I wish that OJ would go somewhere OTHER than KSU. Just because right now, he works hard, does what he can for his TEAM, I am afraid that Hugs will make him into a "me me me" type of player. Which would really be detrimental to his development.

I would imagine that he will only stay one year in college. Getting him past the age limit and then declare for the draft. Personally, I would rather see him on a team where he will get more from it than just an exulted status as the second coming.

Though I have to admit, Kenyon didn't become that sort of player under Hugs, so maybe I am jumping the gun in thinking that's how it will work.

Huggins makes it his goal to break players of any "me me me" type stuff. Eric Hicks quit the team for a couple of days as a Freshman because he thought he should have been playing more. He didn't get playing time until he got Huggins message to focus on his defense and rebounding.

The most "me me me" player I can recall is Ruben Patterson and he routinely got benched for missing defensive assignments. When Ruben got to UC, he didn't know what to do when he was screened and now he is considered an above average defender. Except for Danny Fortson, I can't recall any players that got extended minutes without committing to defense.
