Even tho im a Yankees fan this is devestating. I truly admire this man. What a great player he was..:cry: RIP TEDDY BALLGAME.

The only player that WILL hit.400 at the end of the season. My Boy, George Brett, almost did, but he was 5 hits shy.

My symophies (sp) to the Boston Red Sox and the Ted WIlliams family.

too bad

most of us couldn't see him play.... it'd be something seeing him go against Pedro or Randy Johnson! But ain't that true about all sports and their greats..... the match-ups that can never be.... RIP Mr. Williams

Yes, it is sad, but he was an old man, a popular guy, and lived his life to the fullest, or so I assume from looking at him from the outside. He served our country in two wars, giving up his prime seasons from playing baseball. Thanks Ted, RIP...

If the Sox haven't won it all since 1918, is it true then that he never won it all...
