Michael Adams (former Bullets all-star) was born on this date in 1963. At only 5'-10", he once averaged 26.5 ppg and 10.5 apg for an entire season. Granted his Nuggets weren't very good that year, but could you imagine if someone like Jameer Nelson was doing that for this year's Magic? He would be a guaranteed all-star. He actually had one 54-5-9 game with 3 steals that season.

Adams also had a record string of 79 consecutive games with a 3-point field goal made from January 28, 1988 - January 23, 1989. It has since been broken by Dana Barros.

Also on this date in 1971, The Big E Elvin Hayes had a 29/35 game against the New York Knicks.

Also on this date in 2005, LeBron James recorded his first career triple-double (27 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists) in a win against Portland. Ironically enough, he recorded another triple-double on this date two years later in a loss to Denver (30 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists). At this point in his career, January 19 is the only date in which LeBron has recorded multiple triple-doubles.

Michael Adams stat padded on a god awful Nuggets team that played at an asinine pace.

Michael Adams belongs on the list of awesome small dudes of the association - he listed at 5'10" but that might have been generous
