Vermont coach is UMaine alum......4 players from the State of Maine......bring back UMaine men's soccer!
That's incredible. Talk about overcoming insurmountable odds & terrible adversity to still be able to navigate themselves to UVM and find success. Kudos to them for overcoming such difficult early obstacles in life and finding hope.

Announced attendance: 2500 (sellout).

The largest announced attendance of any of the 35 NCAA Tournament games played thus far. Only one other game has surpassed 2000.

Vermonters understand the assignment.
Through 40 games, still #1.

Game time set for Saturday, 2PM.

It's too bad they don't play in the dome. Just because I imagine that'd be really neat.

If it wasn't a holiday weekend, I think that Vermont might've been able to surpass 3,600.

Does anyone have any insight on next year's Vermont team? Recruiting, etc.. I know they're losing a lot but they also have a lot returning, hopefully. And is the administration increasing their support?

MLS draft pool dropped today ahead of the draft this week. UNH's Moise Bombito got a Generation Adidas contract from MLS...which basically cements him as one of the better players in the pool. Other AE players in the draft include five more from UNH (Bilal Kamal, Jassem Koleilat, Rory O'Driscoll, Chris Pinkham, and Johann von Knebel), UVM's Noah Egan, and UMBC's Ryan Becher.

(Also six VGFC alumni, for anyone who followed them, including a GA signing in Creighton's Owen O'Malley.)

...I should also stress that this is the MLS draft, which is one of the most pointless exercises in sport unless you get real lucky (since teams just use their academies for young talent). Philadelphia, one of the two elite teams of this season (i'm still traumatized from the cup final), has not made a draft pick in half a decade lmao. so any of these guys that get picked are probably getting dumped in the reserve teams, but hey! it's something!

Will Egen be back for another season? He’s pretty crucial to UVM’s success.

What other players are coming back and/or leaving/transferring/graduating?

After the season UVM had and the excellent World Cup, I’m a soccer head now! Someone give me a pro team to cheer for.

You should do what the hipsters say “support local”. If you’re in Vermont, check out the Vermont Green of the USL2. It’s at the unofficial fourth division in the sport, college summer league, has a huge local following that overlaps UVM, and I believe played there this past season. Its owner owns a logo manufacturing company, and LAFC is his biggest client, so you know he’s not on a shoestring budget.

Leeds United is pretty easy to root for. US coach, Tyler Adams and Brendan Aaronson.
