I've said it before, I wouldn't mind seeing him come back. Even when he was way out of shape in orlando, he still was a decent big. I doubt he'll be what he was now that he's "back in shape", but still.
he's 37 years old. he is nuts, as proven by his claim that thinks he can make it to the hall of fame.

i would prefer taking a chance on one of his many illegitimate children.

the perfect knick.
Never in a million years could I ever have thought to have Jason Kidd and Shawn Kemp on the same team because it seemed to perfect of a fit to actually happen. Take a flyer on him Rod, what's the worst that could happen? Sounds like right abut now he's willing to take a 10 day. Even at his heaviest he was still a solid contributor every night and showed he could handle coming off the bench in Portland and we could always use some more depth.
This is like saying the Jolly Green Giant shed a few pounds.

Check your calendar. It's no longer 1993. You've missed 13 years of life. God bless you, child.
Hmmm..come to NETS? for what? GUARD SHAQ? maybe he can still contribute..but i'm worried...
He's big and he was good. If he's in shape, he can be good. I wouldn't expect friggin Rain Man but if he could offer anything like a Collins defensive specialist or a Cliff balanced attack, why not? My only question, how much would we have to pay?
After watching the Nets almost run out of bigs last night I hate to think what would happen in a series against Miami or Detroit. Lamond Murray at center is frightening.

At this stage, I would give Kemp a try.
Can this guy play at all? Who has seen him play?

I think this is just his agent trying to make a few bucks.

I heard about this "comeback" 8 months ago and not one team has even taken a look at him.

If Kemp wants to come back, he should try out for a D-League team and actually show he's a better option than a guy like Eric Chenowith.

I think he had a set back during his training. Injury of some kind.

There isn't a lot of money to get. It would be a vet min deal pro-rated for time left in the season. Just sign him to a 10 day contract and see what happens.

I'd take Chenowith too. Anyone other than seeing Murray at center. We need an emergency big.
Does he still remember how to take down a rebound?
Kemp reminds me of Rickey Henderson, by that he is the guy who the game passed by and he just doesn't realize it.
No, it's much worse than that. Rickey never ballooned past 300 pounds, never became an alcoholic, never embarrassed the game. Kemp has a long way to go if he is going to convince any NBA team to take him him on.

By the way, if a team signs him, he is eligible for the playoffs since he was not on an NBA roster as of March 1.
