Remember him? Awesome contributions during the playoffs, for sure. Glad to see he has found a home, even if it isn't with us.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...F?slug=ap-mavericks-griffin&prov=ap&type=lgnsDALLAS (AP) -- The Mavericks re-signed free-agent swingman Adrian Griffin on Monday, looking to bolster a position hit by injuries.
Griffin played in 69 games for the Chicago Bulls last season and was to join Dallas in time for its game Monday night at Toronto. Griffin, who was with the Mavericks during the 2001-02 and '02-03 seasons, fills a vacancy that was created when Doug Christie was waived.
Swingman was supposed to be a strength for Dallas, but that was before Christie, Jerry Stackhouse and Josh Howard were injured. Keith Van Horn also has been slowed by a hand problem.
Stackhouse has yet to play this season. Howard was hurt Saturday night, and an MRI on Monday revealed he has a moderately sprained right ankle. There is no timetable for his return.
With the Bulls, Griffin averaged 2.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 9.7 minutes.
