After going undrafted this year, and getting cut from Indiana's final roster before the beginning of the season, English headed down to Charleston to play for the Lowgators in the National Basketball Development League.

Carl has been coming off the bench for the Lowgators, playing 18.8 minutes a game in the first fifteen games of the NBDL season. English has averaged 9.9 points per contest on 41.0% shooting. He leads the team in three point field goals attempted at 47 (3.1 a game), three point field goals made (19), and three point field goal percentage (40.4%).

English has gone 34/45 from the free throw line (75.6%), shooting 3.0 free throws a game. Carl has grabbed 1.6 rebounds per game, with 0.53 assists and 0.73 steals.

Carl has played alongside another player the Raptors had expressed interest in, Tierre Brown, who is having a great year, averaging 16.3 points, 6.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game.

Charleston currently sits in first place overall in the NBDL.

Poor guy! It must suck for him, eh? During draft day he was with his friends and family just waiting to be drafted! As the draft went on, he waited and waited and waited some more until no one drafted him! He was obviously depressed by this! He thought he had played good enough to be picked! Maybe he'll be signed by a team soon! Maybe the Bobcats? You never know...

He doesn't have too much family to support him. His mother and father passed away in a fire accident when he was a child.
