I just ordered the new Norah Jones CD which will be released this week.

Prior to that, Paul Carrack's and Josh Groban's latest releases.

The last few i purchased were...

Outkast - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below
Alicia Keys - The Diary of Alicia Keys
Jagged Edge - Hard
Avant - Private Room
Musiq - Soulstar

My favorite is the new Alicia keys, it never leaves my car deck, unless it's time for some Chingy...

For the 2 people who said the new Outkast...how is it? Stankonia was incredible...how does it compare?

I bought 50 Sony CD-R's to burn my cds I download.

It's a far better deal than any Columbia House ad can offer.

Think of it as 50 for the price of 1.

You mean people still go out and buy CDs?

I got the 50 cents CD a few weeks back. Didn't buy it. A friend gave it to me. Not much of a rap fan, but I have to say that I liked it...

My last 3 (my quick take in parenthesis)...

Hot Women- Women Singers from the Torrid Regions of the World (folkie rural world female singers from 1920-50, the R. Crumb cover sold me)

Daniel Johnson - Songs of Pain (indie music phycho/demigod, pure art... you'd probably hate it)

Old Crow Medicine Show - Euwtah (hot bluegrass, great band live)

I'll post my exact message I posted in the exact same thread in Everything But Basketball.
--------------
I don't waste my money on New CDs.

I don't usually waste my money on CDs at all. 90% of the time if I'm buying music (which is very often) I'm buying records.

That said, the last CD I bought was a used copy of "Inspiration / Joy and Pain" by Maze (Featuring Frankie Beverly). It's 2 albums in one package. In other words, 2 LPs worth of material for the usual cost of one disk.

I'm actually pretty surprised that anyone ever sold this CD to the record store I bought it from. Both albums are great.
