Everyone's got their reasons, and they're none of my business. But it's a little amazing to me that, on April 28th, after seeing how many guys went in the portal for weeks only to return to their starting spot, there are still players you'd define as "pretty good, but not exceptional mid-major guys" who are choosing to jump in and try their luck...especially when nothing on the surface has really changed (acknowledged, big emphasis here on "on the surface").

I'm not asking "Why?" I'm asking "Why now?"

Also with his length and shot blocking, there should be some interest I would think. I’m not sure he’s got the frame for a high major, but an A10 equivalent type of level doesn’t seem unreasonable. Agree timing is a bit odd though.

He had a really solid junior year at Monmouth. 14.5ppg, 36% from 3pt and is a really good FT shooter at 85%. I mean, he's built like RJ and has RJ numbers. Josh Pelletier is already bringing in some good players. Let's see how Ferry coaches them.
