CHICAGO -- Pau Gasol will not play in Game 4 against the Cleveland Cavaliers because of a left hamstring injury, Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau announced before the game.

"He's still sore," Thibodeau said.

Gasol initially hurt the hamstring in Game 2 and tried to play through the injury in Game 3, but he was taken out in the second half after scoring just six points in 22 minutes. He had an MRI on Saturday that confirmed the strain, but Thibodeau did not reveal how bad the strain was.

Thibodeau said Gasol was not able to do anything during Sunday's walk-through and is unsure whether Gasol will be able to play in Game 5 on Tuesday night in Cleveland.

The coach would not disclose who would replace Gasol in the starting lineup, but veteran Taj Gibson is a likely choice.

Gasol is averaging 15.1 points and 9.9 rebounds per game in the playoffs.

Bulls definitely have the depth for it, at least.

Mirotic and Gibson are playing hurt too, though. Gibson is probably healthiest and even he is playing on that ankle he's turned about 10x this season, including in round 1 against the Bucks.

Mirotic is not healthy at all, IMO. He hurt that knee in the tangle up play against Zaza in game 2 against the Bucks. Hasn't looked the same since he returned.

Noah might not be hurt per say, but he is definitely not healthy. His knees are just done. No bounce to his step anymore and it doesn't look like he is playing comfortable out there. Looks like the pre-season report that he's bone on bone in the knees is accurate.

Sucks none of our 4 bigs are playing at 100%. We really had a shot at this series if healthy. (Gosh that gets old saying that every year.) I think we lost it in game 4 when we desperately need Pau Gasol's scoring.
