Yup. Great defense under Pierce and tanked under Lange. The process has wanted Billy Lange gone for awhile.
Sixers fans are happy to foot the bill for his Uber to campus.
Dreadful choice.

This is very similar to UD’s firing of Don Donoher. Hopefully it turns out better.SJU fired a lifer and a human college basketball brand jfor... Billy Lange? I figured they must’ve had a grand slam hire lined up when they ditched Phil. This is confounding.
Hopefully, it's just bad reporting and isn't true.Yup. Great defense under Pierce and tanked under Lange.

Hilariously, want to guess who the guy is who's pushing for Lange to get the job? This is very similar to UD’s firing of Don Donoher. Hopefully it turns out better.
UD hired Jim O’Brien who won 46% of his games as HC at Wheeling Jesuit and after an NCAA appearance with Donoher’s players proceeded to go 39 and 77 at UD. Incidentally O’Brien is Jack Ramsey’s son-in-law and SJU letterman. This SJHawk, was a near total disaster.
I was close to sjhawk’s age at the time. He has time to wait another 25 years for an Archie Miller to come in a win a few games.
I figured, given the likelihood of utter and total failure that should be expected, you'd be ecstatic at the reporting.Hopefully, it's just bad reporting and isn't true.
If it’s Ramsey, he was an influencer when O’Brien was hired. I recall that was a big deal at the timeHilariously, want to guess who the guy is who's pushing for Lange to get the job? This is very similar to UD’s firing of Don Donoher. Hopefully it turns out better.

Jack Ramsey is dead, so no.If it’s Ramsey, he was an influencer when O’Brien was hired. I recall that was a big deal at the timeHilariously, want to guess who the guy is who's pushing for Lange to get the job? This is very similar to UD’s firing of Don Donoher. Hopefully it turns out better.

I'm confused by what this means.... however, SJU hiring a Eustace grad is probably the least surprising thing I've ever heard.
Dr. Jack was one of my all time faves. He could have taught Mark Schmidt much about fashion. Great NBA coach, including of my beloved and defunct Buffalo Braves.Jack Ramsey is dead, so no.
The guy pushing Lange is O'Brien himself.
Believe me, I'm happy for you. If it wasn't for the drugs, none of us would have gotten through them.I'm glad I had no ability to experience the 70s.
The drugs, however, were great!Believe me, I'm happy for you. If it wasn't for the drugs, none of us would have gotten through them.
Seriously, awful time in many ways, fashion being only one.
So I'm told. Alcohol was the only one I truly enjoyed. The occasional bong hit was a nice change of pace but I never really appreciated much else. The drugs, however, were great!
Typical economist. So I'm told. Alcohol was the only one I truly enjoyed. The occasional bong hit was a nice change of pace but I never really appreciated much else.
I'm pretty sure you wrote in the thread I made here when Dr. Jack died.I guess I should have known that Dr. Jack passed. I have such bad memories from the O’Brien tenure at UD that I can’t be optimistic about anything that he is associated with. He seemed to be a good guy, but I remember the Flyer’s not being able to in bounds the ball in their own court.
When I was about 15, this was my nickname for my right hand.Dr. Jack
