Possible solution for PF: Joel Przybilla

The guy is a solid pro. Real good, rough defensive player. Averages 9.6 points when given consistent minutes in portland. Hes one of the best shot blockers and with kidd running the offense, i can see him getting 11-12 points a night.

Hes a unrestricted free agent this year. Athletic and exactly what we need. I like wilcox as much as the next fan but i really dont see us getting him. I say we get przybilla and call it a day for our PF.

PS: Had 9 blocks yesterday against the sonics. Keep in mind, this guy can explode with a good team that wont need him for much else. Specially a contender.

Hes also averaging 7.0 rebounds in 25 minutes. Thats 7.0 rebounds, a good 7 points, and 2.21 blocks per game. I expect his points and blocks to go up if we would sign him. Not to mention he would command MLE type money, maybe less.
he will/should be on our summer list.
sounds like a really good choice... he's 7-1 255.. if he plays 35 min he seem like he could avg around a double dobule... and 2.1 blocks... EXACTLY what the nets need... shoots a nice percentage at 55%... good strong choice
He won't start. That is one thing that keeps good free agents away from the Nets. Young free agents want to start. See: Dooling, Bell, etc. The starting lineup is set. Collins should be a lot healthier next season. He would back up Collins and Krstic along with Robinson. That said, he would be a great addition. And I have to think that the Nets will follow the same path they took last summer: go for the best player available in the draft and then seek immediate positional help in the free agent market. Swift and Abdur-Rahim were ready to play for the Nets.

Fixed it for you.
I like him! He can give us some inside presence, blocks, and rebounding! Only problem how can we get him? I think he would want some type of money and wants to start.

He can get the full MLE and a starting center postion (his true position) from Minny, Chicago and Toronto. Why come to the Nets?

Because those teams suck. I would give him a chance to start over Twin and play with Krstic.

Minny has Blount and Chicago and Toronto will have super high draft picks that they will use on young big men in the draft that will take his minutes. On the nets he only has to fight with Collins for minutes and I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually gets more minutes than Collins. But i see them sharing minutes mostly.

I think some team will offer him more than the MLE.

First, Blount is best suited as a back-up and I would bet KG will tell management to get him more fronline help. Second, how do you know who those teams will draft and give minutes to?

I agree.

I've said before, don't be surprised if the Nets don't use the whole MLE on any one player. With VC's pending free agency and Nenad looking more and more like a max player I doubt they will want to invest the full MLE over 5 years. I bet they will go with young players from the draft and vets on shorter term deals. IMO

None of those three teams would suck with Joel. Don't underestimate the new GM of the Raptors.

Bulls with Joel and Tyson would be very imbalanced as they are both offensively handicapped.

Wolves need lots of help beyond Joel (and who knows if KG even wants to stay).

Raptors could be scary in time but I'll believe it when I see it.
He would start if he were to come here, Twin has always said he would rather come of the bench

Duplicate post.

The difference he would make...I'd defeinately give him the chance to start.

Signing him to the full MLE for 4 years would actually make Ilic somewhat redundant. What do you think we can get for the best shotblocker in Europe?
