Question to Hawk Fans

Was watching ESPN either last evening or early this morning and they did a film montage of incidents involving mascots. One of the clips showed the Rhode Island Ram ripping the head off the Hawk. Certainly did not appear to be in jest as the headless hawk seemed irate. What was this about. They did not indicate when this occured.

Ask the Rhode Island fans. Judging by posts that I have read It is the Greatest URI moment ever.
