Just thought I'd let you guys know that Rashard Lewis is visiting Dallas today. I just heard it on the Radio 1310 The Ticket. They said he'd want somewhere between 80 and 90 million, but Dallas doesn't have that. So do yall think that they might try and trade or work something out?

first of all injuries shouldnt be a problem.the thing here is his agent wants 90 over 7 and he's probably worth more like 50 or 60 over 7.the thing that drives up prices is either offers from other teams, which he doesnt seem to have or having your own team over a barrell.seattle has wing players already.a lot of team personnel and fans alike think radmonovic has more potential.i dont think that is far fteched at all.i would like to see them do a sign and trade and bring in a young pf or a potentially high draft pick.we'll see.

Sounds like Dallas is intrested in Shard?? Let's say...
If they bring him in.....Who's out - Finley?? No way!!!
We know Cuban will give up the $$$
But how will this work out with Finley at the spot and from what we hear Cuban just loves Finley:confused:

Rashard Lewis is an idiot if he signs with Dallas. He won't produce anything close to the numbers he would have with the Sonics. And he wouldn't get much playing time either. Dallas and Portland just pi$$ me off. They already have great teams, and they go and sign more great players, that there is no point in signing, because they already have 3 or 4 stars on their team. Dallas and Portland need to learn, you don't win Championships with loads of stars on your team, you win with two stars, role players, and chemistry.

Well, he averaged 17 ppg last year and 7 rebounds. He is still young, so if he stays with the Sonics, he'll be averaging 25 ppg and 8 rebounds in 2 years, and he'll be an All-Star.

Dallas needs a great defender, someone wild and crazy, someone who can shut down God if needed. Hmmm, that sounds like Ron Artest............. I wonder who Indiana could get for Ron Artest.........hmmmm they need a PG.............hmmmmmmmmm

wait, this thread was about rashard Lewis wasn't it?
Oh, well I guess he's pretty good, havnt seen him play too much though, Seattle isnt on natiional TV very often.

The three teams at the top of his list right now are

Dallas--Wont work too stacked
Houston--See above, but would probably be willing just to go back home
Philadelphia--Would flourish in this city

I agree that Lewis would be at his best in Philly. Harpring is now an unrestricted FA, so the Sixers need a starting SF that can score. Either Bonzi Wells or Rashard Lewis would be perfect for the Sixers.

Rashard Lewis Trade Idea

Resign Rashard Lewis to the deal he wants. Trade Lewis, Future Pick for Derrick Coleman, Damone Brown. This works for both teams. It gives the Sixers the 2nd scorer they desperately need, and they get to dump of Coleman. The Sonics get a down low presence who's contract is up in a year, and free's up more PT for Desmond Mason and Vladimir Radmanovic. If Seattle doesn't resign Payton, Anderson, or Coleman they would free up 30mil. in cap space.

Dallas (or any team) can sign Lewis to a 6 year deal at $4.5 per. The incentive is that they can offer him an out after 3 years. At that point, the team has Larry Bird rights, where they can sign him to a max contract.

I think that is what he is looking at. Kind of a legal Joe Smith type deal
