Rating the Bulls defensively

The Bulls have been a great defensive team the last couple of years, and I am curious to know which players are responsible, and which players are the best defensively.

82games had an article on defense and Ben Gordon came out to be the 4th best defensive guard, something they thought was probably a fluke. How is he on defense? He probably stays with his man and has good strength despite being undersized, but does he react well when guarding quicker players?

Chandler has had an up and down season. Has his defense fallen off any since last year?

Are Nocioni and Deng elite defenders?

Is Duhon/Hinrich a better defensive lineup than Hinrich/Gordon?

Which bigs are the best defensively? Othella, Sweets, Songaila, and Malik didnt exactly have defensive reps coming into Chicago. How's Luke Schrenscher, is his defense good enough to make him stick in the league?

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Last year I think the board concluded that Gordon's defensive numbers were more attributed to playing with Tyson off the bench and at the same times in the game. Last year his D was below average.

However, this year I would have to say that Gordon improved his Defense dRAMATICALLY, to at least above average. And Tyson is byfar our best big at D. I would have to say Songaila is next because his help D was really good, even though he cound't board very well.
What makes Chandler the top defensive big? He is obviously the best shot blocker on the team and a good help defender. How does his post defense stand up? How does he fare against the Shaqs, Duncans, Garnetts, or even the Zach Randolphs or Chris Webbers? Does he get pushed around due to his lanky frame, or outsmarted since they are all about 10 years wiser?

he actually does a great job despite is lack of mass. HE really bothers the other opposing frontcourt player... and plus who else on our team is a big that is good at anything as tyson on the defensive end?
Tyson still leaves his feet too often. He makes some pretty amazing blocks though.
He has the wicked physical ability, but at some moments it still seems like he has no feel or instinct for the game at all. Did he honestly start playing basketball as a high school senior?

No, you must be thinking of someone else. They ran a 60 minutes segment on Tyson, back when he was in middle shchool, as the next basketball phenom.

Now, if somebody could get a hold of that tape, it would be hilarious.
