Sara White and Jeffrey Lurie

Jeffrey Lurie and Sara White, the widow of the late Reggie White, graced the podium in the auditorium of the NovaCare Complex Wednesday afternoon and announced the team's plans to honor the great defensive end during the weekend of December 3.

With an eye to the past, the Eagles have invited more than a dozen former players, as well as former Eagles head coach Buddy Ryan, to be part of the festivities beginning Saturday, December 3.

Events include retiring the number "92" at HeadHouse Plaza in a pre-game ceremony at 5:45 p.m.; the singing of the national anthem by Reggie's daughter, Jecolia White; video tributes throughout the game; and a special presentation for fans during half-time.

White detailed plans for a preview celebration on Saturday, December 3, at the Philadelphia Navy Yard Cruise Ship Terminal, Pier One.

A ticketed event, open to the public, it will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Eagles Youth Partnership.

Special presentations will be made by host Keith Jackson, a former Eagle and Packer teammate of Reggie's, as well as ABC Monday Night Football analyst John Madden and Eagles head coach Andy Reid.

Former Eagles teammates Eric Allen, Keith Byars, Mike Golic, Vai Sikahema and Mike Reichenbach will also attend.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for the Philadelphia Eagles, Reggie's teammates and family, our fans and the City of Philadelphia to celebrate a great player and a great human being," said Lurie.

Lurie and White provided an additional list of alumni who will join them at the December 5 game against Seattle to honor White, including Randall Cunningham, Ryan, Seth Joyner, Clyde Simmons, Mike Golic, Mike Pitts, Byron Evans, Eric Allen, Roynell Young, Wes Hopkins, Andre Waters, Keith Jackson, Keith Byars and William Thomas. Several other players are also expected to be in attendance.
