Paul Coro of THE ARIZONA REPUBLIC reports, "Suns star Amaré Stoudemire will not play tonight and may not return to action for the remainder of this week's road trip, if not the season, unless there is improvement in his sore, stiff knees."
think he will play in the playoffs? will he ever be a dominant force again?

after his performance last night...the man needs to rest for the remainder of the season. The best thing Amare can do for the Suns is too not rush things as he is doing right now if he ever wants to return to the dominant level of play witnessed before his operation. Is 12 remaining regular season games worth it to him?
I said that it was too soon. Looks like I was right.

cant believe they rushed him back to begin with.

No one rushed him. If I'm not mistaken, doctors had cleared him a few weeks to a month before he even stepped back on the court.

But I think he should sit out rest of the yr. Even before he came back.
Amare needs to show some self-restraint, before that huge contract he signed in the offseason becomes the next Penny Hardaway.

Just because you're just recovered enough to play doesn't mean you can't take some more time off. It's not like people wouldn't understand.
Terrible. This just makes the whole situation more suspicious.
Well now everyone can scream I told you so. I mean what is the rush? There WAS a rush. Everyone knows how serious this injury is so the more rest the better. The Suns are atop their division w/o him. Would he help make them better? Sure, if he is healthy.....he is not fully healthy as we now see.

alot of people on this board(including myself) tried to tell yall how serious this injury was...lot of us were called haters

I have literally hundreds of post I can pull up where posters said when Amare gets back Phoenix will wreck the league...

Amare may have just joined the list of people we will always say what if about...

EXACTLY!

What was the rush? The team will be there next year, and they've been playing fine without him. Whoever okayed this bull**** should get kicked in the nuts.
Remember when Dirk got the knee injury against the Spurs and the Mavs shut him down even though he probably could have played on it?

Mavs organization>Suns organization. You have to know how to protect your investment long term.

This makes me so mad, because as a basketball fan we could be robbed of an unreal talent.
Great points made. Amare just should have rested for the playoffs. I think he may miss some playoff games. He is so young to be dealing with these problems. If he just rested, this may not have been a problem. I guess it will take a while for us to see the top 10 player Amare really is
I don't want him to play for the rest of the season, including the playoffs. Shut him down....and think about next season. I don't want to see him become the next Diceman..that would be ashame. I hope things work out for him.....as a fan I want to be able to witness him being the same dominate force again. Besides I want him to see him give Timmy the business....
he came back to early

they said his knee is tightening. Yea, he should sit out the season
Rushed?

yes a bit, but no matter... how much he rest, comming off a surgery like that, the first few-several weeks will most likely lead to swelling and stiffness. He comes back for the playoffs, he'd get the swelling as well. The only way to prevent swelling is to rest it a long long time after surgery and after the knee is back to condition.
I'm no knee doctor, and I'm willing to bet none of you guys are either, but it only seems to make sense to be as super-cautious as possible with this. The Suns haven't taken this approach. If he does end up hurting himself further, which hopefully he doesn't, they deserve it.
he didnt hurt himself.

Remember, players like Randolph, Martin, all have swelling knees after a long lay-off. Its just the way it is, there will be a phase/stage of the first few weeks on a comeback that will make the knees stiff. But I think, Amare IS trying to force his knee, thats the bad thing.... he should just be glad he is running and hopping around, he shouldnt exert his knees.
unless there is improvement in his sore, stiff knees.
Gosh, i ahve been saying it over and over and over again...
yet i got the whole 10 yards about being a hater...
