I assumed "open to 16" meant that anyone is welcome to play their way in. We expand only from a position of strength. If someone is on our level, we will add them.

You haven't read the expanded JP plan for our 20 member conference, apparently.

If I ever advocated a 20-team league, it was for the purposes of then splitting and ditching the bottom half. Which, I don't think really works for us now, in principle, because the "Top half" of the A-10 does not exist. There are nine programs which over a 20-year span will fight for 3rd to 11th best A-10 program.

Maybe it was to get Gonzaga?
