It’s hard to express how catastrophically bad this is for the revenue sports. Cesspools will somehow become even filthier. It is totally astonishing that this is happening.

Absolute nonsense, and the players are being used by those in power to push the latter’s financial agenda.

With this proposal, there is no path forward that doesn’t include decreased graduation rates and/or an inferior, glossed over education.

The normal student isnt getting a free ride either
So St. Bona doesn’t offer academic scholarships? These students have a grad assistant making sure that they are going to class and maintaining a 3.0 GPA so that they keep their scholarship?

Don’t get me wrong. Athletes get special treatment but Bill made it seem like Asst. Coaches trailing players to class was something special.

You know the answer to your question Jaffie. Of course there are academic scholarships. But, as '03 pointed out, the normal student doesn't get 100% of his/her tuition, fees, books, room and board covered.
