Great doubles set. This one is even better on video than I recall it being live.

Smash 4 Patch 1.1.6 Tier List

Since everyone else seems to be doing Smash 4 Patch 1.1.6 tier lists... I guess I'll do mine. Keep in mind this is super-biased... and also does not include Miis since the Free-the-Miis campaign started by VGBootcamp's GiMR never really gained any traction.

Garbage Tier
55) Jigglypuff - Too light, no shield, no ground speed, unreliable combos
54) Gannondorf - Too many bad match-ups to count, far too slow

Pretty Bad Tier
53) Falco - Avoid the Fair strings against him and you're golden
52) Roy - predictable kill moves, wonky hitboxes, punishable landing options
51) Dunk Hunt - projectiles and recovery are too punishable, weak normals
50) Link - too slow, dash attack is too predictable, not enough combos
49) Zelda - buffs gave her deadly up-smash... but she still sucks

Can Be Competitive Tier
48) Wii Fit Trainer - decent normals, sneaky hitboxes, low crouch, no reliable kill confirms
47) Shulk - that down smash will get you killed, too many varying properties to manage
46) Robin - best properties run out when you need them most, too light
45) Palutena - fast but that's about it, lacking kill power, bad normals
44) King Dedede - annoying but exploitable, hard to kill but just too slow to be consistent
43) Charizard - feels like recovery should be better, predictable, d-throw combos don't work on all characters

Right on the Edge of Viable Tier
42) Dr. Mario - that recovery is ass, cape doesn't stop momentum, u-tilt doesn't combo
41) Bowser - juggle bait, great u-throw/u-air shennanigans, 2 unusable smash attacks
40) Lil Mac - recovery is worst in the game, crazy fast on the ground, horrible in the air
39) Bowser Jr - mix-ups for days, crappy neutral-B, Dair doesn't autocancel, recovery has issues
38) Kirby - way too light, no combos at kill percents, swallowcide not usable on most of the cast

Viable but with Deep Flaws Tier
37) Wario - too reliant on waft for kills, two bad smash attacks, command grab doesn't do enough damage
36) Lucina - awkward spacing, can't kill, strings are hard to sustain
35) Samus - buffs have helped, good damage output, good confirms, just too slow and floaty
34) Mr Game & Watch - nice strings, can actually edgeguard, glass cannon
33) Greninja - combo potential virtually unlimited, kill confirms predictable up until u-throw percentages
32) Lucas - good off-stage game, 2 excellent coverage smash attacks, useless neutral-B, quirky
31) Lucario - only viable with rage/aura, hardest character to rank
30) Ike - struggles against wind boxes, u-throw/fair is so solid, no problems killing, ultimately too slow

Excellent Counterpicks Tier
29) Marth - requires too much precision to master, lots of tough match-ups, bodies range-challenged characters
28) Pac-Man - tricky and unpredictable, good but flawed recovery, can kill from strange positions
27) Toon Link - bomb-to-death combos everywhere, scary f-smash, good recovery, easy to kill
26) Donkey Kong - ding dong is amazing, tilts are scary, struggles to land, easy to edgeguard
25) Olimar - disjointed everything, great low percent combos, U-air is hard to challenge, can be gimped
24) Mega Man - zoning tools for days, has problems killing

Can Get the Job Done Tier
23) Pit - honest character, consistent, love the arrows, not in love with the side-B
22) Dark Pit - honest character, consistent, not in love with the arrows, love the side-B
21) R.O.B. - beep boop is devastating, gyro can control the edge, just a little too easy to juggle
20) Peach - execution-based beast, decent disjoints, float is still unique, a few bad match-ups hold her back
19) Luigi - killed by nerfs, still has a great combo game, can still gimp with tornado, needs more traction
18) Captain Falcon - super fast, powerful, good air strings, killing is too airdodge-dependent
17) Yoshi - gimmicks and spacing tactics are on point, Dair has several uses, good projectile, imperfect recovery
16) Ness - that back throw is nasty, a few bad match-ups, great aerials

Internationally Viable Tier
15) Villager - irregular moveset, great traps, distance aerials, read-heavy
14) Corrin - So. Much. Range., struggles against pure speed, interesting projectile with a couple uses
13) Metaknight - U-air strings still possible, B-moves have unexplored potential, kill confirms still exist
12) Fox - good speed, good kill moves, good combos, Fair-to-footstool is legit, tough match-ups with top tiers

Stud Tier
11) Bayonetta - still has most string options in the game, still has best counter, no zero-to-deaths anymore
10) Pikachu - great speed, height, smashes, projectile, and movement options, issues with expanded hurtboxes
9) Mario - all the tools, inescapable low percent combos, struggles with ranged attackers
8) Sonic - plenty of potential, requires epic camping to be optimized, homing attack is hot garbage
7) Mewtwo - so many kill confirms, unpredictable movement and projectile, still a bit of a light weight

God Tier
6) Cloud - lasting hitboxes, disjoints everywhere, amazing mind games with limit, only weakness is recovery
5) Zero Suit Samus - punish game is impeccable, amazing recovery, only weakness is neutral game
4) Diddy Kong - B-reverse god, banana shenanigans, kill confirms, command grab that spikes, oddly gimpable
3) Rosalina & Luma - 2-on-1 advantage, powerful up close and at range, only weakness is no up-B hitbox
2) Shiek - still has kill confirms, best frame data, best at 50/50's, almost impossible to gimp, weight nerf sucked
1) Ryu - most room for improvement in the cast, those light tilts are amazing, super armor on DP, nasty spike combos
