Taken from the bulls board:

Some concern in the Clippers' magical season may benefit the Bulls. Corey Maggette, the high-scoring Fenwick High School product, is back from his ankle injury and unhappy about not starting. "It needs to change," he said. "I'm 100 percent. I'm ready to play."

So much for all that good karma and chemistry. The Clippers have been using defensive specialist Quinton Ross instead of Maggette.

The Clippers tried to trade Maggette for Ron Artest, and the feeling is they'll look to deal Maggette after the season. He's not a big three-point threat, but he is a tough, big guard who can get to the free-throw line.

With salary-cap room, the Bulls could absorb his salary, thus saving the Clippers the $7 million salary--always important to the Clippers--and give them their first-round pick, which should be in the middle of the first round. It's certainly something the Bulls will consider.

Yeah it would be something the Bulls will consider, never the Clippers. I hope I am reading this wrong but did he just write the Bulls could get Maggette with 1 MID first round pick. Keep dreaming.

Hey, you never know. If the clippers decide they want radman for the next 7 years instead of maggs for the next 3, they might do something crazy like that, because it would be one of the few ways to give radman more than the MLE. (outside of letting cassell walk).

Would i do it? No, not at this moment in time. But, playing devil's advocate, think about it. Theres no way we could trade mobley for a first rounder at this point in time, so hes locked in. If we signradman to start at SF, that will leave maggette on the bench complaining. (not to mention having about half of the entire team salary dedicated to three guys who play the same positions). Then theres the Ross playing time which dunleavvy insists on having. I say no way is BOTh radman and maggette kept. Its got to be one or the other. if its radman, its not like the clippers should trade maggette for another SF like dunleavvy jr., etc. etc, then youre stuck with the same problem as far as having a logjam at the position. (not to mention meaning a whole nother season of DNP for korolev and singleton, the former perhaps being more embarrasing to the organization since they used a lottery pick on him). So the only way to resign radman is to dump maggs salary.

Hey, im not saying i would do it, but you can certainly see why it could have been thought up. It seems like if you get in dunleavvy's doghouse youre not going to get out fast.

u think that's crazy? read how the bulls posters are underestimating maggette and his value. they dare propose a deal of mid first and mike sweetney for him? uh NO. unlike the bulls, at least our management is competent enough to make trades that benefit the team, ie: elton brand.

lol wat a joke

Dunleavy won't trade Maggette for a first rounder. If he wanted a first rounder he could have gotten one with Wilcox. I am not even sure if the first pick in the draft is worth Maggette. I'll post more after the game.

Maggette has one of the most affordable vet contracts in the league, per production.

Sam Smith must've either ran out of ideas the previous night or drank a bit too much Nyquil. Like usual.

I agree, pure comedy. It's shocking though how undervalued Maggette is.

But I wouldn't put trading Maggette off, it could happen. As pointed out above, Maggette is going to have a hard time fitting (already seems the odd man out, the few games he's played after hisw injury). The question is, how good a deal can the Clippers get? I'm still hoping something can be done about keeping Maggette content. On the other hand, I hope Maggette can make some changes to his game to fit the team better, such as defense.

I'd love the Clips to play a 10man rotation like the Griz, having both Maggette and Radman can allow the Clips some good flexibility.

If Radman is resigned, he will not start in front of Maggette and I think he knows that. On a winning team like the Clippers i don't think Radman cares if he is the 6th man. And if the Clippers are thinking about trading Maggs he should be packaged with some picks and if possible Mobley for a Top 5 wing player like Paul Pierce.

Knicks Pick + Future 2nd

Draft Rudy Gay

Starting 5: Kaman/Brand/Gay/Mobley/Livingston
2nd Unit: Rebraca/Singleton/Radmanovic/Ross/Cassell
Others: Ewing/Korolev/2nd Round Pick/2nd Round Pick/MLE Veteran
Not sold on Gay. I thought he would dominate much more this year. He was kind of letdown this year

Where's the option for "all of the above plus hot beef injection".
