Depth Charts after proposed trade:

Philly
Mohammed(Skinner/Stepania)
AbdurRahim(KThomas/Williamson)
Igudoala(K.Brown/Korver)
Salmons(WGreen/Buckner)
AI(McKie/Ollis)

no true point guard except ollie
PFs might argue on PT
SF are a little too young

Portland
Ratliff(Dalembert/Pryzbilla)
Zrand(MJack)
GRob(Miles/TOutlaw)
Danderson(Woods/Frahm)
NVE(Stoud/Telfair)

Grob and Ratliff will get in the way of the development of their talented backups
Zach doesnt have a reliable back up unless Dalembert and Ratliff can play together

New York
KThomas(Baker)
Sweetney(JWill)
TThomas(Patterson/SAnderson/Ariza)
Crawford(Houston/Penny)
Marbury(Norris/Brewer)

They become way overloaded at the SF
now they dont have a true center
and all 4 of their PFs are undersized even for PFs

good points

NY: T. Thomas can play the 4 just fine.... but they would be weak at the 5

Port: Ratliff can play the 4 as well.... matter of time before either NVE or Anderson get injured and Miles will need to slide in as guard.... Robinson only in for a year anyways.

Phili: Never touched their PG's... Kenny thomas would move to the 3.... I think that's his natural position anyways.

Why would NY do this trade...they trade away a pretty good center and move a pf to center? doesnt make sense... in this day in age, there arent too many quality centers out there.. and nazr is one of them.. If anything they should be looking to trade K thomas who's career is winding down and his stock is still pretty high... They need to get sweetny some quality minutes because he will be a good pf in the L one day.. so the way i look at it getting rid of K thomas and letting Sweetney fill in at pf would be the best bet for NY... everything else looks pretty good in this trade though. But i highly dooubt philly will trade dalembert

My sentiments exactly. They're probably at the point wherein they'd rather trade Iverson than Dalembert.

Are you crazy? Philly just bends over and takes it up the *** in this deal. They deal away an expiring contract (Glenn Robinson) and a guy that's quickly establishing himself as a top center in the East in Dalembert for exactly what they DON'T need in SAR, Nazr, and Stepania.

You're an idiot if you think Tim Thomas can play the 4 and fine? The averages 4 rebs a game

he's a SG in a PF 's body
