After last night’s beat down, I’m not sure how up I am for watching games today. I will be rooting though for the Bonnies (how about that Community Bank?), Hawks, Rams of Kingston, Minutemen, Wildcats, and Ramblers. Good luck to all of those teams!
Terrible job taking care of the ball in that first half. 23 of the Dukes’ 27 first half points are off turnovers. Luc was unspeakably bad handling the ball.

Guards who can handle the ball and shoot in traffic should be the focus of every open scholarship for the Bonnies this off-season. Open tryout. Show me that you can dribble against pressure, and get up a decent look in the direction of the rim, and you will get playing time. That absolutely has to be the focus on the recruiting trail, if this group has any hope of developing into more than a high floor, low ceiling scrappy team.
25 turnovers and counting. Most have been, if forced at all, very lightly so. Atrocious work by SBU.

The completely inability to take advantage of far more opportunities than they deserved, capped by mind bogglingly poor decision making in a late game defensive situation is half their losses in a nutshell this season. Say what you will about this team, but they’re rarely even keeled. The highs are high and the lows are infuriatingly self inflicted.
Unspeakable. 5-11 from the line. 25 turnovers. Lose by two like that? At least Coach Tortelli figured out how to beat Schmidt: just wait until his guards can’t dribble or execute basic perimeter passing.

If the Bonnies didn’t have more turnovers than a bakery they could have won. Congrats to the Hawks.
