Survivor :10:

"Terrell Vinson, of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, will take his national top 50 talent to UMass. The 6'6" guard/forward is said to not have the explosive step to the basket that is needed in the ACC. This has led to him not being as heavily recruited by the big schools. The most well known program that had interest was the Terps." Quote

UMass might have themselves a true sleeper if this is true... Vinson is said to be the sleeper of the class of '09

Alibaba Odd was never offered by SBU. Also, Jake Houseknecht isn't on the list. I tried to fix all of this, but failed miserably. It should be noted that Houseknecht, Simmons, and Leonard all red-shirted in 2008-2009. Raymond Blackburn and Maurice Thomas were dismissed from the team. Bona has three scholarships to fill for 2009-2010.

Dang.

I was kind of hoping that someone would have completed this for me. Oh well.

It's tough trying to figure out who redshirted two years ago amongst 14 schools! So I said, "The hell with it." and tried to make it more community-driven. Let others update it while I do nothing. Sounded like a plan to me! But it failed.
Failed? Nonsense. Great post. I updated the Bonnies info.

To fix some of the loading issues (it was hard for me to work with, too) - I broke it up into two sections. It still takes a long time to load, though.

Steve81 - great timing. In the 'tree', I got up to UMass and then got a whopping headache. I have no idea how in the hell UMass distributed their schollies over the past couple seasons and I gave up. So I didn't get to complete URI, Richmond, StL, St.B, St.J, Temple, or X.

If you can fix UMass for me, that would be a giant help.

In what sense is XU rudderless? We have a head coach, and he's hired all but one of his assistants. Most recent hire was Orlando 'Bino' Ranson who was an assistant for Matt Brady at Marist and now James Madison. He's wired into the AAU circuit on the east coast and I imagine you'll all be reading about the fruits of his labors soon enough.

I'm not surprised at the non-stop stupidity from many of the flyer posters on this board but the rest of you tend to be more sensible.

Blue Dog, I speculated that a Dayton fan changed it and Survivor fixed it. Personally, I'm expecting a small dip in Xavier this year, but still be one of the top A10 teams. Our conference should be really strong going forward. I keep hearing about this great Big East break-up, but personally I don’t see it happening. There is just too much money at stake. They will probably work it out without a break-up of non football schools.

A small dip in Xavier how Steve? Maybe in recruiting for a year but not on the court. If Derrick comes back which he most likely will, I could coach next year's team to the NCAA Tournament and a win or two once there. Every position should go two deep with much more athleticism. Point guard should be much improved with a season for Holloway and a year learning the system for Cheeks (Mark Lyons). Everyone within the program thinks there are at least 2 for sure NBA prospects on the team with Derrick and Crawford, with definite potential in Mr. Freeze, and I expect him to improve plenty. If Derrick goes pro then there may be some troubles but it should still be an NCAA Tournament team.

You are assuming a lot....most importantly, the head coach is immediately an effective head coach. The players are there, hard to argue that. But it's not unfair to question how things will come together with a new and inexperienced head coach.

i know, i know, he's experienced, he's recruited....blah blah blah....

The fact remains that the next game is his first....and that's no small thing.

At UMass we had a dip or more during the last four coaching changes. I think you are talented and will be at the top of the A10, but a dip from where you would have been if Sean stayed and still a dip from this year. All your freshmen should see a nice productivity jump next year. You are well stocked, but its based on my experience at UMass and will have to say a dip in leadership, will Love fill that role?

Xavier has obviously hired better than UMass over their last few changes, so I don't know if the UMass experience is a great indicator. But not all Xavier hires have met with immediate success and a seamless transition.

And I don't look at Love and think "leader". But who knows....

So this is a sticky now, eh?

Thanks to Ninercentral on the ninernation.net boards, I was able to use a different site for my spreadsheet. It's 1000 times better.

No more annoying load time.
No more passwords
It's easier to edit and the functions are much better

So go ahead and feel free to edit. All you need to do is scroll to the bottom and click 'Edit this page'. When you're done, save and close. It's really that simple.
