Net fan coming over in peace.

Shaq regualrly drops his 30+ on the Pistons. However, he has struggled in games against Jason Collins where the Nets are playing the majority of man to man.

If the Wallaces are such great (post) defenders, why does Shaq have such great success against them compared to someone like Twin?

i really cant say much, cuz by some coincidence, ive missed most of the Heat/Net matchups.

Maybe hes more motivateed to play the Pistons? Or cuz he was healthier vs Pistons as compared to the Nets matchups? He doesnt care about the Nets? i really dont know, but you brought up an interesting subject.

you didnt have to start off by saying "i come in Peace". your more than welcomed in our forum, as long as you play it clean, its all good

Thanks for the kind words. I'm extra cautious because that guy shaq diesel seems like he has an agenda.

If you've watched Twin all year and seen the job he does against guys like Shaq, Brand, Jammison, Randolph...you'd be hard pressed to find a better post defender. Obviously he is not a shot blocking or rebounding beast but his one on one is at an All-NBA level.

Collins has always done a decent job on Shaq. I mean, you're not going to stop him from getting his (for the most part), but Collins does an alright job bodying up on him.

And maybe going up against the pistons, he is more motivated to show he can do so good against the leagues premier defensive big(s), who knows.

He knows against the pistons he needs a big game for a win. Pistons style is to let shaq go one on one all game, other teams mix it up alittle. its a combination of both, but shaq knows scoring against the pistons is needed from him. he's more aggresive against detroit.

the refs (not collins) have done a good job containing shaq this season vs the Nets

foul trouble every game, a lot of them bs fouls, like yesterday for example

but Collins does play him better than most. He is very physical and doesnt allow shaq great position

I have an agenda??? Like what? Telling idiots to not post if they can't follow the rules?
Find me where I discouraged Nets fans to post here and I'll send you some uCash points.

Shaq gets helped by the refs more than hurt. Do you remember last year when there was 1 second on the shot clock and he turned with raised elbows and clocked Twin almost knocking him out...foul on Twin!

Both fouls on Shaq against Twin were legit. The Cliffy foul was legit but some veteran flopping helped. The RJ foul was shaky as RJ was in the circle. The VC foul was a foul on Shaq or the other defender.

Did you also see the 2 or 3 fouls Shaq should've been called on with 5 fouls but the refs wanted to keep him in the game.

The last person to complain about the refs is Shaquita (play on words for Shaq calling Lawrence Frank Laura for complaing about the refs).

I disagree...his first foul wasnt a foul ( i forget who flopped easily)...it might have been a travel but definetly not a foul. The vince foul and the one right before that weren't even close...VC just ran into him, the other one the guy flopped.

He has struggled against Collins because Collins is a great defender? Oh please, you are way to biased. And did you notice how many touches Shaq got against New Jersey, compared to how many he gets against Detroit? When the Heat play Detroit he gets the ball every play, hence, he will score more. Did you ever consider that? Or how about (since I know you are just talking about the last game) the fact that he has a hyperextended left knee and could barely jump to get a rebound, or how he was in foul trouble most of the game. Come on man, you could have easily figured that out on your own. I think you are the one with the hidden agenda.

Just last game? Last game Shaq did relatively well against Twin. The prior game he put up 11 points.

In today's press Riley said Twin plays Shaq very well. But I guess you know better.
