While I think Stack will opt out after this coming season I think he has every intention of staying.He's happy here,he's got a nice home just outside Detroit where he has settled in (You've all probably seen it by now on MTV) and has a good close relationship with Joe.I think he will opt out,wait until Joe oicks up a free agent that will help the team and then negotiate a new contract.

What exactly does Stack's contract entail concerning the opt out clause? Does he have to meet certain obligations to opt out?

I guess I wasn't familiar with this. I thought he was signed for the upcoming years. This leads me to believe that we will be well over the cap in 2003...
