U CANT compare Kobe to T-Mac even if u wanted to!T-Mac is a SUPER-STAR day in and day out,while getting double and tripple teamed!Kobe is a SUPER-STAR day in and day out while getting played man to man!In my opinion Kobe is EXTREMELY OVER RATED,and Ill tell u why.What do u think would happen if Shaq BROKE his leg the 1st game of next season?Do u really think Kobe would average 26pts 5ast 6reb a game,or better yet do u think the Lakers would make the playoffs,LOL?U see Kobe is a highly OVER RATED Scottie Pippen and until he wins on his own thats all he will EVER be!

T-Mac = MVP!

Iverson = Average 40pts a game = Scoring title!

Carter = He would SKYWALK over everyone in the league!

Pierce = Defensive player of the year!

Payton = MVP!

I would take T-Mac over Kobe as well, but I don't think that Bryant should be sold short. He is an exceptional talent that will always be viewed in shades of grey due to who he plays with.

Pippen could never be a magastar alongside Jordan and until Kobe is forced to carry a team, neither can he.

Shaq, as much as I dislike his game, draws so much attention that others cannot help getting easier looks, and lanes to the basket

That is the way of things in the NBA, where a leader is a defined need and also where a 2nd banana is also a defined need - when it comes to winning.

Kobe is the very best 2nd in command, to me - better than pippen offensively and almost equal to Pip on the defensive end.

Shaq is the leader and should be the leader.

Once he realized that he was indeed the leader and let Kobe know that fact and also took some good advice from a past center about his free throws only being important when the game was on the line, then Shaq won it all.

I'd prefer it if you called Kobe 'second banana' instead of second in command. Just seems more fitting.

I've got to disagree. I'm not going to say I think Kobe is better than Tracy, because frankly, I don't really know. What I do know is they are both top of the line players in the NBA. Anybody that says that Kobe doesn't have the skill or has been riding Shaq's coattails for the past 4 years is either in denial or hasn't watched very much basketball.

Kobe Bryant has evolved from a selfish and cocky teenager that rode the bench to a player that plays with a game compared to the greatest player in the history of the NBA. I remember watching a deciding game against the Utah Jazz in Kobe's rookie season. I'm sure everybody remembers it. Kobe, the 19 year old, was firing up airball after airball. Many people thought, "What the heck is this kid doing" but not me. What I saw was the making of one great player. A player that wants to take the shots when the game is on the line. An 19 year old kid taking clutch shots in the NBA playoffs! This could have ruined the development of a budding superstar... but it didn't.

Over the next 3 years Kobe evolved into whom I consider one of the very top players in the league. I don't care who he plays with. His game is so fluid and graceful it's really shocking how young he still is. He will continue to hit big shot after big shot and will continue to play one of the top defensive games in the league. Even after Shaq is done, I think a Kobe led Lakers team is going to be a team to reckon with. Will it be a championship winning team? Wait a few years and we'll all know the answer.
