TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Martin St. Louis is expected to miss two to four weeks with a broken bone near the tip of his left ring finger.
The 2004 NHL MVP also has a damaged nail bed, the result of being hit in the hand by defenseman Darryl Sydor's shot in practice Sunday.
"I knew right away it was bad," St. Louis said at Tampa Bay's morning skate on Monday. "I'm disappointed, obviously, because I want to help the team win. Now I'm watching for a little bit ... hopefully not too long."
He won't be out to long but this will hurt Tampa. They really need him and he gone for atleast 2 weeks."Personally, I'm trying to get my game to where it needs to be," St. Louis said. "This is kind of a setback. I've got to wait a little longer to do that."
