I don't know whether you guys know this or not, but apparently, Billlups has already agreed to sign with the Pistons in a couple weeks:

Now, I'd imagine that the only other team that would want Porter besides us is Portland. I mean, wouldn't be the place for him to retire? Back in his hometown.

I still have faith that he'll be back, though! :yes:

One other thing-- I really don't consider Billups to be a true point guard. The only reason he's a PG right now is because he's fast and can shoot the ball. He's not that great of a ballhandler and passer (IMO) and he's too short to be a SG.

He's a shooting guard in a PG's body, kinda like Damon Stoudamire. ;)

They won't sign Porter. Why? Because they are most likely going to sign Chauncey Billups, who visited Detroit and has all but signed a deal with the Pistons. At back-up, the Pistons would have Chucky Atkins and 3rd PG is Dana Barros. Porter would be the 4th PG, there's no point to signing him.:no:
