OK, I think we all know this was true, but here some confirmation of it:

From Newsday

According to a source with knowledge of the trade that sent him to Atlanta late Monday night, Portland general manager John Nash's refusal to take Keith Van Horn is what killed the Knicks' chances to land Wallace.

The Trail Blazers received Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Theo Ratliff and Dan Dickau for Wallace and Wesley Person. As Newsday reported Jan. 24, the Knicks were involved in talks about a possible deal with Atlanta and Portland that would have sent Wallace to Portland, Abdur-Rahim to New York and Van Horn to Portland. Either way, Nash's disregard for Van Horn was a deal-breaker.

Good for him. Screw Isiah Thomas for thinking he can just dump Van Horn wherever he feels. Isiah Thomas is a ****** hater. He has been talking crap about Van Horn ever since he landed in New York and all Van Horn has done is drop great numbers and bring them wins.
