Sun [email protected] NO/Okla. City-----W 95 - 84
-We beat a tough young team that was playing very well.

Mon [email protected] Houston-----W 90 - 77
-We beat a Houston team that was/is playing very well with T-Mac out but Yao playing some of his best ball in his young career.

Wed 15-----Portland-----W 78 - 65
-We beat a Portland team that came out strong, especialy Randloph.

Fri 17-----L.A. Lakers-----W 92 - 89
-We beat Kobe aka Mr. 81.

Sun 19-----Dallas-----W 100 - 89
-We blew out a Dallas team (A top team in the West) and we controlled the Mavs. Dirk (who is playing great) got his points but we just out-played their team.

Tue [email protected] Washington-----W 112 - 100
-We beat a tough team in what looks like it could be a playoff preview.

Thu 23-----Minnesota-----W 86 - 82
-We came out slow, but turned around a 10 point Minnesota lead (after a Vince Carter 3 going in to half time.)

Sun [email protected] Detroit-----W 79 - 74
-We beat one of the best teams in the leauge, at home, only their 3rd home loss and it was the 2nd time we beat them this season.

Mon 27-----Phoenix-----W 110 - 72
-We blew out another top team in the NBA after a big win at Detroit, held Nash (MVP) to 0 points and 72 points all together (they average 108.)

Wed 29-----Memphis-----W 86 - 74
-We beat a team that won 7 strait before loosing to Seattle at the buzzer on Tuesday. Another tough team from the West that is headed to the playoffs.

Fri [email protected] Atlanta-----W 91 - 88
-The Nets clinched their fifth consecutive postseason appearance by holding off the tough, resilient young Hawks team

Sun 2-----Miami-----W 90 - 78
-The Nets beat the Miami Heat (a very good team) with Shaquille O'Neal in the line up however the Heat were with out three key players, Alonzo Mourning, James Posey and Jason Williams. Never the less another great win for the Nets. Vince Carter came out on fire in this game hitting 6 for beyond the three point line, and finished the game with 43 points. This win puts the Nets four games behind the Heat for the second seed in the playoffs.

Tue 4-----Atlanta-----W 96-94
-Yes, the Nets were up by 20 but we did hold off a short handed, young Hawks team. Nanad Krstic didn't seam to have a good game but finished with 17 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. Vince Carter was clutch down the strech hitting five free throws to secure the victory and another Atlantic Devision Championship.

Thu 6-----Charlotte-----W 113-102
-Richard Jefferson had 40 points, Jason Kidd had his 7th triple double of the season and Vince Carter scored twenty plus for the 19th straight time (beating the old Nets record) and last but not leat the Nets have tied their longest winning streak in their history.

I can't say enough about this team right now, 14 in a row! When Jason Kidd puts his playoff eyes on we are so tough to beat. What I have noticed is Jason Kidd turning it up yet another noch, and the rest of the team following the captain. Krstic has turned his game to another level too, the way he is rebounding, blocking shots and scoring is incredible for this 2nd year player that is only 22 years old. Collins has also done so much for this team, his defense has been amazing and his rebounding is also becoming a force. Carter and Jefferson are also getting it done, Carter's play in the final 2 seconds of the Pistons game proves he can play defense and Jefferson is just solid. His defense has been huge.

The bench has been phenomenal, Robinson, Murray, Vaughn, Zoran, Wright all get credit for that. They have been able to control the game while the starters were taking a break. Padgett and Nachbar showed signs in the win to the Suns in garbage minutes and might also be able to get in the rotation however, why fix something thats not broken?

Because of how the Nets have been playing Lawrence Frank has been named the coach of the month. You also have to give credit to Frank for the job that he has done and it looks lie he is getting it.

When you look back at this streek and see the "elite" teams (Dallas, Detroit, Phoenix and Miami) that the Nets have beaten I dont know how anyone could say that "the Nets are good pretenders."

At the beginning of the season they said we couldn't play defense, but do you know how we have won these nine games? Defense. Kidd held Jason Terry to 8 points, Billups to 0 points (Carter is the one that let Billups score the 7) and Steve Nash, the reigning MVP to 0 points. What more can I say but...
Go Nets!

We controlled him enough that they didn't win right? At least we didn't let him score 50 on us.
Re: The 9 game winning streak - Break Down

All of these happen because of OUR DEFENSE and also the DEFENSE of OUR MAIN MAN JASON KIDD!

The Nets held Dirk in check for the 1st half, then in Dirk carrying the Mavs in the 2nd half, what did the rest of the team do? Stand around, in awe, and in the end when they got the ball, couldn't do much.

It was a great win regardless.

When I look @ all those games' scores, I love how the Nets gave up an average of 80 some pts per game. Nets playing really great defense.

Just two corrections concerning your winning streak breakdown.

Game 1.....Hornets will likely not make the playoffs

Game 9.....Suns are either the 4th, 5th or 6th best team in the NBA, depending on where you rank The Heat and The Nets.

Re: The 9 game winning streak - Break Down

the way the nets r playing right now, they are an excellent grind it out team, especially having Lfrank at the helm allows us to outsmart the opposing team when it really matters.
Re: The 9 game winning streak - Break Down

Re: The 10 game winning streak - Break Down

11 games.....I giggle everytime I think about it.
Re: The 11 game winning streak - Break Down

Average Score:

92.6-81.3
Re: The 11 game winning streak - Break Down

We played absolutely horrible in that last game. 34.7 % FG shooting & only 7 team assists but we managed to win. They won a game they should of lost b/c they grinded it out. They need to bounce back & play a whole lot better if they want to beat Miami. This is a statement game.
