What are the Blazers to do?

The chronic problems this team has that I refer to is their mood, attitude, and behavior.

They have two gifted starts, Wallace and Wells, who can't seem to keep their tempers in check. Even though Wallace cut his Ts nearly in half this year from the previous season, he had nowhere to go but up and still led the league with 25 of them. Wells collected 19; that's 44 between them.

Pippen has failed to lead this team to the promised land, Stoudamire is an unfulfilled PG who now has legal problems, and Davis most certainly isn't the answer at center.

So if you are a Blazers fan, what do you want to see this coming season?

It'd be nice to see them draft someone like Rod Grizzard or Dan "Gadzilla" Gadzuric. I've heard Bonzi and Dale Davis, and maybe even Rasheed Wallace may be traded. Either way, I don't see how they'll be improved enough to make any strides any time soon.

As a Blazer fan, I am hearing more and more that Rasheed is going nowhere and Bonzi may re-sign.

With that said, I would like to see Portland make all efforts to go after Baron Davis (good-bye Damon) or Andre Miller or draft a point guard.

The only centers I see them getting would be in the draft (maybe) or a possible trade (Kandi, Zo...not sure).

They are weak at those two spots (PG and Center), but I keep reading that they may draft Grizzard if he is available. Isn't he a SG. That's all we need...more shooting guards.

Any other thoughts?

I'm thinking if they draft Grizzard, Bonzi or DA may be on the move somewhere. I'd also consider packaging Stoudamire and Dale Davis to the Clips or something, to get Kandi, or someone that isn't Dale Davis, lol.

They are gonna have to go trough a long-rebuilding process even though they have the talent to win it all already, very strange..

The subject was "Blazers chronic problems." Well, Stoudamire got in trouble with drugs, so I thought that you meant chronic as in weed. LOL!!!

lol... I don't think that was his main purpose, but that is a good point. Stoudamire needs to get on the right track, or he will be traded.

I don't think that there is any doubt that he'll be traded, they might be able to get a couple good players for him though.

Trade

Maybe: Stoudamire and DD to Philly for Dikembe and Snow?

Do you think it's fair? I'm not sure Phillt would trade Snow though.

It could be Bonzi and DD for Claxton, Deke, and Harpring.

Just a thought. If Portland could trade for Alonzo Mourning, they would fix a number of problems.

1: They would get someone that isn't afraid to be a leader

2: They would get someone that commands respect

3: They get a guy that is (Shaq's words) "Tougher than Shaq", and able to defend him as well as anyone in the league can.

4: they get someone that is serious about 'ball, about winning and as competitive as you can get.

5: Finally, you get someone not scared to interject himself into the rabble that is the Portland way of doing things and stand up to Wallace when he looks like being a dipstick yet again.

Mourning would be a perfect fit for the Blazers. Now which headcase do you want to give up to get him?

Alonzo

They could trade Rasheed Wallace and DD for Brian Grant and Zo. Portland would have to hope that Grant would have the same kind of season he had for the Blazers, before he went to Miami though.

Two things:

1) I keep hearing from Miami that they will NOT trade ZO.

2) As a Blazer fan, I would love to have Brian Grant (our heart and my
favorite player) back in Portland, but I think that there is no hope of Bob
ever getting Brian back. I am afraid that bridge is burned.:sigh:
