I was wondering which team has got the most deadly trio in the league. Last year people were talking about how deadly the Finley-Nash-Nowitzki, "big 3", was. But this season, I belive the best trio has been that of the timberwolves so far. Any other candidates?

There's no argument for anybody except the Timberwolves' big three.

Kevin Garnett is the most efficient and overall productive player in the league, and the MVP, this season... and Sam Cassell scores 20 points a game on 50% shooting, damn. And Sprewell is no scrub.

I did some research on this.

Total stats per game so far.

1) KG, Cassel, Spree: 62.9 pts / 21.7 rebs / 16.5 assts

2) Peja, Bibby, Miller: 57.6 pts / 19.9 rebs /12.4 assts

3) Maggette, Brand, Q: 56.3 pts/ 24 rebs /8.1 assts

4) Shaq, Kobe, Payton: 56 pts/ 20 rebs /13.5 assts

5) Kidd, Martin, Jefferson: 51.3 pts/ 22 rebs / 15.4 assts

6) TMac, Howard, Gooden: 52.9 pts/ 20.6 rebs / 9 assts

Nice research dude.

Stats don't lie. Before the trade I bet Marbury, Amare, Marion would be up there. I used your stats and calculated it relative to the total of the team's output. because a Sacramento 120 pt night is different from a New Jersey 120 pt night.

1) KG, Cassell, Spree : 66% pts / 52 % rebs / 68% assts
2) Peja, Bibby, Miller : 54.5% pts / 47% rebs / 46 % assts
3) maggs, Brand, Q : 58% pts / 58% rebs / 40 % assts
4) Shaq, Kobe, Payton : 55.3% pts / 45.8% rebs / 54 % assts
5) Kidd, Martin, Jefferson : 57% pts / 55% rebs / 63% assts
6) TMAC, Howard, Gooden : 56% pts / 45.5 % rebs / 47 % assts

There's no question that those 3 in Minnesota mean more to their team than any other trio in the league.

*Brand hasn't played for his team til recently. also LAC trio and Orlando trio don't have a PG so their assists is a bit skewed

I thought Chicago was s'posed to be up there. :upset: lol

Of course it's Minnesota. The big healthy three and the big injured three are the only NON minimum contract players, I believe.

Well, it's more of a duo (with Allen and Lewis), but if you add Radmanovic...

Ray/Rashard/Radman: 56.4 ppg / 18.1 rpg / 10.1 apg.

In percentages: 57.4% pts / 46.0% rebs / 48.1% asts.

Doesn't come close to the t-wolves trio, but it's pretty good.

Indeed. I missed it:shy:

Another trio to consider is Marbury, Houston, Van Horn and I didn't include it because Marbury has only played like 4 games for the Knicks.

Marb, Houston, KVH: 53.3 pts/13.3 rebs/14.7 assts and

Dirk, Walker, Finley: 53.1 pts, 23.1 rebs, 10.3 assts

Duncan-Parker-Ginobili:

49.7 ppg, 21.1 rpg, 13.4 apg

relative to team output:

points 55%, rebounds 45%, assists 62%

and you know those numbers will be better by years end.

Maggs,Q,Brand look at the boards. They will be the best three in 2 years and are maybe second or first right now.

This year the T-wolves take the cake in this category. Although it's a little skewed with the Lakers and Mavericks having their Big Four and Big Five. It's hard to have three guys stand out when your whole starting lineup is an allstar team...

53.3 ppg 18.8 rpg 11.9 apg
percentage of team output
that's 63% ppg 47% rpg 56% apg

obviously not as good as the top 5, but percentage wise(especially ppg) it's pretty high
