Great News. The Bucks have lost to the Hawks 120-114.

The Bucks loss moves Washington back to the 5th seed, moves the Pacers to the 6th seed and the Bucks drop to the 7th seed.

The Pacers are now ahead of the Bucks because they have a better division record.

So as of right now, the Heat would play the Bucks.

Going into tonight, the Bucks, Pacers and Wizards had identical records. The Bucks and Pacers lost so they move down while the Wizards gain ground because they were idle.

So, the Wizards are percentage points ahead at the 5th spot and the PAcers and Bucks have identical records. The tie breaker between the Bucks and Pacers is division records. THe Pacers have a better division record which is why they are ahead of the Bucks at this point.

NBA TV and ESPN.com have their brackets updated and have Miami playing the Bucks.

Heat's playoff opponent still in question

ATLANTA · Pardon the Heat if it appeared its mind was elsewhere Tuesday.

It was.

As the players prepared for what would turn into a 103-100 loss to Atlanta, the focus hardly was on the immediate future.

Instead it was on the first round of the playoffs.....

the article in the paper had these 8 scenarios

Bulls, Wiz, Pacers win- we face Bulls
All 3 lose- we face Pacers
Pacers and Bulls win, Wizards lose- we face wizards
Bulls and Wiz win, Pacers lose- Bucks
Pacers and Wiz win, Bulls lose- Bucks
Pacers win, Wiz and Bulls lose- Bucks
Wiz win, Pacers and Bulls lose- Pacers
Bulls win, Wizards and Pacers lose- Bucks

I dont see the Bulls even come close to losing tonight, so 1,3,4,8 are most likely imo

Thanks for posting this. I guess it depends on which players each of those teams decide to rest.

Thank God we'll finally know who we play tonight.

looks like Chicago....all 3 teams have confortable leads

not thrilled, but better matchup than Indy

and if Detroit catches up to Washington and beats them, we will play washington which is even better

so those are the two options right now. Chicago most likely and Washington is a slim chance if they blow a 10 pt lead to Detroit

Washington up 15 with 7 left....if they win, we got Chitown...

if they lose, and Chicago beats Toronto, we got Washington....

if they both lose somehow, we got the Bucks...
